SK텔레콤은 양자기업 연합체 '퀀텀얼라이언스'의 정식명칭을 '엑스퀀텀(X Quantum)'으로 확정하고 첫 상용제품을 선보인다고 19일 밝혔다.

엑스퀀텀은 SKT가 지난 3월 양자분야 핵심 기술·부품을 보유한 기업들과 설립한 연합체다.에스오에스랩·엑스게이트·우리로·케이씨에스·노키아·IDQ코리아 등이 참여한다.

SKT는 엑스퀀텀에 대해 "글로벌 시장이 열리고 있는 현 상황에서 새로운 시장을 개화시키는 역할을 담당하는 '퀀텀 프론티어(Quantum Frontier)'의 정체성도 담고 있다"고 설명했다.

엑스퀀텀은 이날 정식명칭과 함께 첫 상용제품을 공개했다.SKT와 케이씨에스의 차세대 양자암호칩 'Q-HSM'이다.지난해 MWC에서 두 회사가 전시했던 양자암호칩에 양자내성암호(PQC) 기술을 새롭게 추가한 제품이라고 SKT는 설명했다.

SKT는 "강력한 보안성을 보장하는 유선 QKD 기술에 이어 이번 'Q-HSM'으로 PQC 기술까지 모두 상용화하게 됐다"며 "빠른 시일 내로 PQC와 QKD를 통합한 하이브리드 형태의 제품도 선보일 예정"이라고 밝혔다.

엑스퀀텀은 Q-HSM을 오는 25일 고양시 킨텍스에서 열리는 국내 양자분야 최대규모 전시회 '퀀텀 코리아'에서 공개하고 곧바로 상용화한다.
