조병규 우리은행장이 최근 은행 지점에서 발생한 100억 원대 횡령 사고에 대해 사과하고 재발 방지를 약속했습니다.

조 행장은 오늘(19일) 이복현 금융감독원장과 은행장들이 모이는 간담회 참석 전 기자들과 만나 고객과 국민한테 걱정을 끼쳐 진심으로 죄송하다며 이같이 말했습니다.

또 강화한 내부통제 시스템으로 자체적으로 사고를 확인했지만,한국 경기원천적으로 막지는 못했다며 아직 부족한 부분이 있었다고 설명했습니다.

그러면서 모든 임직원에게 내부통제에 대한 실효성 있는 교육을 진행해 이런 일이 절대 반복되지 않도록 하겠다고 강조했습니다.

앞서 경남 김해에 있는 우리은행 지점에서 근무하던 직원 A 씨는 대출 신청서 등을 위조해 100억 원에 달하는 대출금을 빼돌린 혐의로 지난 13일 구속됐습니다.
