대한의사협회(의협) 내 불협화음이 연출됐다.의협의 27일 무기한 휴진 선언을 두고 일부 내부에서는 논의된 바가 없다는 것이다.

19일 의료계에 따르면 이동욱 경기도의사회 회장은 이날 '27일 무기한 휴진 발표에 대하여'라는 입장문을 통해 "27일 무기한 휴진 발표를 (접국의사총궐기대회) 집회 현장에서 갑자기 들었다"고 밝혔다.

이 회장은 "저를 포함한 16개 광역시도 회장들도 임현택 의협회장이 여의도 집회에서 무기한 휴진을 발표할 때 처음 들었다"며 "당황스럽게 해 대단히 죄송하다"고 했다.

그러면서 "무기한 휴진의 적절성이나 찬반은 논하고 싶지 않다"며 "회원들이 황당해하고 우려하는 건 임 회장의 회무에서 의사 결정의 민주적 정당성과 절차적 적절성이 전혀 지켜지지 않는다는 것"이라고 지적했다.

의협은 임 회장 1인의 임의 단체가 아닌 절차와 과정의 정당성이 중요한 공식 단체라며 "투쟁의 중심과 선봉에 서 있는 전공의 대표와의 불협화음도 모자라 대의원회,size19광역시도 회장,감사조차 무시하는 회무는 회원들의 공감을 받기 힘들다"고 강조했다.

이어 "무기한 휴진 실현 가능성과 그 적절성에 관한 찬반은 별론으로 하고,의사결정 회무 방식과 절차에 치명적 문제가 있다"며 "시도회장들이나 회원들은 존중받고 함께 해야 할 동료이지,size19임 회장의 장기판 졸이 아니다"라고 강조했다.

한편 임현택 의협회장은 전공의 대표와도 마찰을 빚었다.

박단 대한전공의협의회 비상대책위원장은 이날 자신의 SNS를 통해 20일 출범 예정인 '범의료계대책위원회'(범대위) 구성 제안과 관련해 "범의료계 대책위원회 공동위원장에 대해 들은 바 없다"고 선을 그었다.

박 위원장은 "현 상황에서 범의료계 협의체를 구성해도 대한전공의협의회는 참여하지 않겠다는 입장을 지속 표명했다"고 설명했다.
