월 6만2,000원에 서울의 지하철과 버스를 무제한으로 이용할 수 있는 기후동행카드(따릉이 포함 시 6만5,000원)를 다음 달부터 경기 남양주·구리시에 있는 서울지하철 4·8호선 역에서도 사용할 수 있게 된다.

오세훈 서울시장과 주광덕 남양주시장은 4일 서울시청에서 이런 내용이 담긴‘서울시-남양주시 기후동행카드 사업 참여 업무협약’을 체결했다.

현재 경기 성남시 모란역~서울 강동구 암사역 구간을 오가는 8호선에는 다음 달부터 '별내선'이라 불리는 6개 역사(암사역사공원,장자호수공원,구리,동구릉,다산,별내)가 추가 개통한다.이에 따라 8호선은 남양주시와 구리시,우리카지노 계열 쿠폰서울시,성남시 등 4개 도시를 연결하는 24개 전체 역사에서 기후동행카드로 승하차가 가능해진다.74만 남양주 시민은 수도권 동북부 기초자치단체 주민으로는 처음으로 기후동행카드를 사용할 수 있게 됐다.

지하철 4호선의 경우 현재 기후동행카드로 하차만 가능했던 남양주시 진접역,오남역,별내별가람역도 다음 달부터 승·하차 모두 가능해진다.따라서 진접역부터 서초구 남태령역까지 모두 29개 역에서 기후동행카드가 적용된다.시는 "진접지구,오남지구 등 남양주시 주요 신도시에서 서울로 출퇴근 여건이 개선될 것"이라고 기대했다.

남양주시를 통과하는 서울시 면허 시내버스 3개 노선(202,1155,2212)은 이미 기후동행카드가 적용되고 있다.시는 남양주시에 있는 경의중앙선과 경춘선 13개 역사에도 기후동행카드가 조속히 적용될 수 있도록 중앙정부,코레일 등과 협의를 서두르겠다는 입장이다.
