남자 화장실을 들렀을 뿐인데 성범죄자로 몰렸다며 문제를 제기한 사건이 계속 논란입니다.

경찰의 대응이 적절했는지 비난이 쏟아지고 있는데요.

지난 25일 올라온 한 영상에서 경찰은 여자 화장실을 훔쳐봤다는 신고를 접수한 뒤 한 남성을 찾아 "학생이냐?","뭘 떠냐" 따져 물었는데요.

이 남성은 경찰을 찾아 사건을 더 알아보려고 했지만 "떳떳하면 가만히 계시라"는 말을 들었다고 했습니다.

사건이 알려지자 사건을 맡은 화성동탄경찰서에는 "태도가 강압적이다" 등 6천 건이 넘는 민원 글이 쏟아졌습니다.

어제(26일) 화성 동탄서는 여성청소년과장 이름의 공지를 올렸습니다.

"객관적 증거를 토대로 누구도 억울하지 않도록 엄정하게 수사하겠다",스위니 레토"신고 처리 과정에서 부적절한 언행이 있었는지에 대해 사실관계를 확인하겠다"고 했습니다.

한편 남성의 어머니는 사건 현장에 들렀다가 피해를 신고한 여성을 만나 대화를 했다며 이 내용을 한 유튜버를 통해 공개했습니다.
