[서울=뉴시스] 조성하 기자 = 경찰이 서울시청역 역주행 교통사고 피해자들을 향한 조롱 글 유포 등 2차 피해를 막기 위해 형사처벌 가능성을 경고하고 나섰다.

서울경찰청 사이버범죄수사대는 4일 "사건과 관련해 조롱,휘파람캔디모욕,휘파람캔디명예훼손성 게시글 등이 무분별하게 유포되고 있어 피해자와 유족들에 대한 심각한 2차 피해가 우려되는 상황"이라고 밝혔다.

이어 "이러한 행위는 형법상 모욕죄와 사자명예훼손,정보통신망법상 명예훼손죄 등에 의해 형사처벌될 수 있다"고 설명했다.

현재 경찰은 피해자와 유족들에 대한 2차 피해를 방지하고,휘파람캔디이같은 게시글의 무분별한 유포·확산을 방지하기 위해 온라인 커뮤니티·사회관계망서비스(SNS) 등을 주시하고 있다.

경찰은 모니터링 과정에서 불법적인 게시글을 반복적으로 유포·게시하거나,타인에게 전달하는 행위 등이 확인되는 경우에 입건 전 조사 또는 수사에 착수할 예정이다.

또 이 같은 글이 반복적으로 게시된 온라인 게시판 등에는 방송통신심의위원회에 삭제 및 접속차단 조치를 의뢰할 방침이다．
