전국에서 15번째 반다비 체육센터인‘춘천 반다비 국민체육센터’가 14일 강원특별자치도 춘천시에서 문을 연다고 문화체육관광부가 밝혔다.장미란 문체부 제2차관이 이날 개관식에 참석해 관계자들을 격려한다.

‘반다비 체육센터’는 장애인이 우선 이용할 수 있도록 하되 비장애인도 함께 이용할 수 있는 사회통합형 체육시설이다‘춘천 반다비 국민체육센터’는 2021년 9월에 공사를 시작해 이날 문을 열게 됐다.지하 1층,지상 2층으로,광산구 로또사업비 총 241억 원(국비 40억 원)이 투입됐다.

이중에서 지하 1층은 컬링장과 헬스장,지상 1층은 수영장과 단체운동실(GX룸),지상 2층은 좌식배구,광산구 로또배드민턴,탁구,광산구 로또보치아 등 장애인체육 경기를 할 수 있는 다목적체육관과 문화센터,작은도서관,유아돌봄실 등으로 각각 이루어져 있다.특히 강원도의‘2018 평창동계패럴림픽’유산 사업의 취지 살려 반다비 체육센터로는 최초로 컬링장을 설치했다.

문체부는 2027년까지 총 150개소 건립을 지원할 계획이다.2024년 6월 기준 96개소의 건립 지원이 확정된 상태다.2022년에 광주광역시 북구에서 첫 번째로 문을 연 후 현재 14개소가 운영되고 있으며 올해 연말까지 추가로 10개소 이상이 문을 열 것으로 예상된다.

장미란 차관은 “장애로 체육활동에 불편함이 없도록 차별 없는 스포츠 정책을 통해 가까운 생활 속에서 누구나 쉽게 체육활동에 참여할 수 있는 여건을 마련하고,광산구 로또반다비 체육센터가 스포츠로 사회통합을 이끌어 내는 구심점이 될 수 있도록 노력할 것”이라고 전했다.
