SPC 비알코리아가 운영하는 배스킨라빈스는 인공지능(AI) 기술을 동원해 개발한 여름 한정 메뉴 '트로피컬 썸머 플레이'를 출시했다고 15일 밝혔다.

이 메뉴는 AI 기술을 활용한 상품 개발 모델인 '배스킨라빈스 AI 신제품 개발(NPD·New Product Development) 시스템'을 통해 선보이게 됐다고 회사 측은 설명했다.

배스킨라빈스에 따르면 신제품 연구팀은 구글의 AI 모델 프로그램인 제미나이에 "구글플레이와 배스킨라빈스가 만든 새로운 맛은 어떤 맛일까?","구글 플레이를 상징하는 다채로운 색깔이 좋아,로스앤젤레스 다저스 대 샌디에이고 파드리스 방송 채널그런 아이스크림 만들어줘",로스앤젤레스 다저스 대 샌디에이고 파드리스 방송 채널"구글플레이 컬러로 여름에 어울리는 특별한 맛을 추천해줘" 등의 명령어를 입력했다.

그러자 제미나이는 "구글플레이 로고의 빨간색은 딸기,수박과 같은 상큼한 맛,로스앤젤레스 다저스 대 샌디에이고 파드리스 방송 채널노란색은 레몬,망고 등의 달콤하고 시원한 맛,초록색은 라임과 같은 상큼한 맛,로스앤젤레스 다저스 대 샌디에이고 파드리스 방송 채널파란색은 블루베리의 달콤하고 부드러운 맛 등 다양한 색과 맛을 조합할 수 있다"는 등의 답변을 했다.

허희수 SPC그룹 부사장은 "신제품은 제미나이가 제안한 아이디어를 배스킨라빈스가 구체화해서 탄생했다"며 "앞으로도 AI 등 차세대 기술을 활용해 제품을 개발하고,로스앤젤레스 다저스 대 샌디에이고 파드리스 방송 채널국내를 넘어 해외 영향력을 확대해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

신메뉴는 배스킨라빈스가 AI NAP를 활용해 출시한 두 번째 메뉴다.배스킨라빈스는 앞서 AI NPD 개발 메뉴 '오렌지 얼그레이'를 출시한 바 있다.

배스킨라빈스는 이날부터 신메뉴를 구매하는 손님에게 구글플레이 기프트 쿠폰,배스킨라빈스 제품 쿠폰 등을 제공한다.
