[서울=뉴시스]송연주 기자 = 바이오 기업 디앤디파마텍은 개발 중인 MASH(대사이상 관련 지방간염) 치료제 'DD01'의 임상 2상 시험계획(IND)이 미국 식품의약국(FDA)의 승인을 받았다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 임상 2상은 대사이상 관련 지방간염(MASLD·MASH)을 동반한 과체중·비만 환자 68여명을 대상으로 미국 내 10여 개 임상시험실시기관에서 동시에 진행된다.

회사는 DD01의 효능·안전성을 평가하기 위해 48주간 위약 대조 방식으로 진행할 예정이다.2026년 6월 종료를 목표로 하고 있으나 있으나 중간분석을 통해 더 이른 시기에 유효성 확인이 가능할 수 있다고 전망했다.

DD01은 GLP-1·글루카곤 이중 수용체 작용제로,cf 벨레넨스스전임상 연구(동물 모델)에서 지방간 감소 및 체중 감소 효과를 나타냈다.이를 통해 미국에서 당뇨 및 대사이상 관련 지방간염을 동반한 비만·과체중 환자 대상으로 임상 1상을 진행했다.1상 결과 4주간의 짧은 투약에도 지방간을 50% 이상 줄였다고 회사는 설명했다.

디앤디파마텍 이슬기 대표는 "미국 FDA의 임상시험계획 심사를 통과함에 따라 DD01의 임상 2상이 본격적으로 시작될 것"이라고 말했다.
