(화순=연합뉴스) 천정인 기자 = 전국적으로 주목을 받은 전남 화순군의 '만원 임대주택' 사업이 내부 수리 문제로 입주가 연기됐다.

화순군은 30일 보도자료를 내고 "내달부터 리모델링(내부 수리)을 시작해 완료되는 대로 입주를 시작할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

내부 수리는 8월 말까지 진행될 것으로 예상돼 당초 입주 예정일인 7월 중순보다 1달 반가량 입주가 지연된다.

다만 기존의 부동산 계약이 종료돼 입주 연기가 어려운 예정자의 경우 예정대로 입주할 수 있도록 하되 내부 수리는 그 이후에 이뤄질 수 있다.

만원 임대주택은 부영주택이 운영하는 임대 아파트를 화순군이 전세로 빌려 청년과 신혼부부에게 월 1만원에 재임대해 주는 주거 복지 사업이다.

올해 선발된 100가구는 오는 7월 중순께 입주 예정이었지만 부영주택 측이 비용 문제로 내부 수리에 난색을 보이며 일정이 연기됐다.

군은 임대 계약일을 불과 일주일도 남기지 않은 지난 28일 입주 예정자들에게 계약 연기를 통보해 혼란이 빚어졌다.

군 관계자는 "계약은 예정대로 진행한다"며 "기존 전세 계약 종료로 입주가 긴급한 입주예정자를 파악해 조치하겠다"고 말했다.
