폴란드 매체 RMF는 익명의 EU 고위 외교관을 인용해 볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령이 27일 EU 정상회의에 참석해 안보 협정에 서명할 예정이라고 보도했다.EU 정상회의는 27~28일 벨기에 브뤼셀에서 열린다.

우크라이나 대통령실은 지난 19일 EU와 안보 협정 문안을 확정하고 "가까운 시일 내에" 서명하기로 합의했다고 발표했다.

키이우 인디펜던트에 따르면 협정은 두 부분으로 구성돼 있다.

하나는 첨단 장비 공급,인력 훈련,지뢰 제거,핵 및 사이버 보안 지원 등 '9가지 약속'을 포함한 안보·국방과 관련된 것이며,또 하나는 EU 가입 등 민간 측면을 다루고 있다고 한다.

협정엔 우크라이나 난민 보호,전쟁범죄 책임자 기소,맨시티 클럽월드컵대러 제재 지속,맨시티 클럽월드컵러시아 동결 자산 우크라이나 지원 등의 내용도 담긴 것으로 전해진다.

우크라이나는 지금까지 미국,일본,맨시티 클럽월드컵영국,독일,프랑스 등 17개국과 양자 장기 안보협정을 맺었다.

한편 우크라이나는 이날 EU 가입 협상을 공식 개시한다.EU 회원국들은 지난 21일 우크라이나 및 몰도바와 EU 가입 협상 개시를 공식 승인,맨시티 클럽월드컵25일부터 협상을 시작하기로 했다．
