16일 경기도에 따르면 김 지사는 전날 시흥 배곧생명공원에서 열린 '2024 경기 미래모빌리티 페스타'에 참석해 이같이 말했다.

김 지사는 "배곧 단지에는 바이오클러스터를 위한 여러 가지 투자를 하고 있는데,바이오와 모빌리티까지 합쳐진 투자가 계속해서 이뤄지면서 시흥시·경기도 발전,대한민국의 변화를 반드시 이뤄낼 것"이라고 밝혔다.

이어 "중앙정부는 R&D 예산을 20% 가까이 줄였는데,경기도는 46%를 늘렸다"며 "미래를 먼저 맞이하기 위해 R&D 투자에 경기도가 앞장서고,그 선봉에 시흥시가 있도록 함께 힘을 합치자"고 덧붙였다.

올해 처음 열린 이번 행사는 경기도가 주최하고 (재)경기테크노파크와 시흥시가 주관한다.드론,UAM(Urban Air Mobility,친환경 도심항공교통),자율주행차 등 경기도의 미래모빌리티 환경을 직접 체험할 수 있다.

지난 14일부터 16일까지 행사 기간 참석자들은 드론체험행사(드론 낚시·레이스·경품 뽑기 등),도심항공교통(UAM) 전시 및 MaaS(Mobility as a Service,다양한 교통수단을 예약부터 결제까지 원스톱으로 가능한 통합교통서비스) 체험관 등 다양한 콘텐츠를 직접 경험하고 즐겼다.
