(인천=연합뉴스) 손현규 기자 = 경찰 간부인 지구대장이 택시 승차 문제로 20대 남성과 시비를 벌이다가 폭행 혐의로 112에 신고가 접수된 사실이 뒤늦게 알려졌다.

9일 인천 남동경찰서에 따르면 지난 5일 오후 10시 20분께 남동구 간석동 길거리에서 20대 남성 A씨가 "(B 경감한테서) 폭행당했다"며 112에 신고했다.

당시 B 경감은 A씨가 휴대전화 앱으로 부른 택시에 잘못 탔다가 내리라는 말을 듣자 폭행한 것으로 알려졌다.

현재 지구대장으로 근무하는 B 경감은 사건 발생 당시 술을 마신 상태였다.

그러나 A씨는 "B 경감에게서 사과받았다"며 처벌을 원하지 않는다는 의사를 경찰에 밝혔다.

폭행죄는 피해자가 원하지 않으면 피의자를 처벌할 수 없는 반의사불벌죄다.

경찰 관계자는 "B 경감을 입건하기 전에 피해자가 처벌을 원하지 않는다고 밝혀 사건을 내사 종결했다"고 말했다.
