IMF는 올 연말 근원 개인소비지출(PCE) 가격지수 상승률이 2.5%를 기록하고 내년 중반에야 2%에 도달할 것으로 내다봤다.이는 Fed의 전망보다 이른 시점이다.PCE 가격지수는 Fed가 선호하는 인플레이션 지표로 손꼽힌다.

다만 래피얼 보스틱 미국 애틀랜타 연방준비은행(연은) 총재는 "인플레이션이 여전히 가장 큰 우려 사항"이라면서도 Fed가 올 4분기 한 차례 금리를 인하할 수 있다고 밝혔다.그는 "올해 금리를 두 번 이상 내리거나,대구 영어마을내리지 않거나,대구 영어마을심지어 올릴 수 있는 그럴듯한 시나리오가 있다"면서 "지표에 따라 움직일 것"이라고 말했다.
