전북 전주덕진경찰서는 도로교통법 위반(음주운전·과속),박찬희 야구 은퇴교통사고처리 특례법(치사·치상) 혐의 등으로 A(50대)씨를 구속했다고 3일 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난달 27일 0시 45분께 전주시 덕진구 여의동 호남제일문 사거리에서 술을 마신 채 포르쉐 차량을 몰다 스파크 차량을 들이받은 혐의를 받고 있다.

이 사고로 스파크 운전자인 B(18)씨가 숨졌고 동승자인 C(18)씨도 크게 다쳐 병원에서 치료를 받고 있다.

경찰은 A씨가 교차로 점멸 신호에서 직진하던 중 좌회전을 시도하던 스파크 차량을 들이받은 것으로 추정하고 있다.

당시 A씨의 혈중알코올농도는 면허취소 수치(0.08%) 이상인 것으로 알려졌으며 또 제한속도가 시속 50㎞인 도로에서 약 시속 160㎞로 과속운전을 한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰 관계자는 "A씨가 경찰 조사에서 음주운전 및 과속 행위를 모두 시인했다"고 말했다．
