24일 외식업계에 따르면 맥도날드는 이번 주부터 후렌치 후라이 판매를 일부 매장부터 순차적으로 재개할 예정이다.정확한 판매 재개 시점은 추후 공지한다.

맥도날드는 지난 20일 웹사이트에 “예기치 못한 공급망 이슈로 일시적으로 후렌치 후라이를 제공할 수 없게 됐다”고 밝힌 바 있다.이에 따라 매장에선 세트 메뉴를 판매하지 않고,창원시경륜삼복승 경주결과버거 단품을 주문하면 콜라 미디엄 사이즈를 제공했다.

당시 맥도날드 관계자는 “맥도날드가 공급받은 일부 냉동 감자의 기준 미달이 우려돼 제품 공급을 중단하기로 결정했다”고 설명했다.맥도날드는 글로벌 냉동감자 생산업체 램웨스턴에서 전량 감자를 공급받고 있다.맛을 균일하게 유지하기 위한 글로벌 본사의 지침에 따라서다.
