13일 파주시에 따르면 '파주 국립박물관 클러스터' 추진과 관련해 전날 문화체육관광부가 개최한 관계기관 오찬간담회에 참석했다.

오찬간담회는 김경일 파주시장,유인촌 문화체육관광부장관을 비롯해 문체부 대변인 문화정책관,고추 나온 축구 선수예술정책관,지역문화정책관 및 국립민속박물관장,대한민국역사박물관장,고추 나온 축구 선수국립한글박물관장,고추 나온 축구 선수국립극장장 등 관계기관장이 참석했다.

이 자리에서 '파주 박물관 클러스터' 성공적 추진을 위한 협력 방안과 발전방향 등에 대해 다양한 의견을 나눴다.

파주에는 이미 경기 북부에서 최초로 국립민속박물관 수장고가 있는 국립민속박물관 파주관이 개관했고 인근에는 문화재청 소관 전통건축부재보존센터가 개관해 관람객을 맞고 있다.

올해 9월에는 국립극장 무대예술지원센터가 준공돼 개관을 앞두고 있으며 국립한글박물관 통합수장센터와 국립 대한민국역사박물관 자료센터도 2029년 개관을 목표로 사업이 추진 중이다.

김경일 파주시장은 "박물관 클러스터와 파주출판단지,헤이리예술마을,CJ ENM 등 파주의 문화예술 자원과 연계해 파주가 수도권 체류형 문화관광도시로 도약할 수 있도록 문화체육관광부와 관계기관의 많은 관심과 지원을 바란다"고 당부했다.
