최 대표는 2일 오후 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 전체회의에 증인으로 출석해 '(라인야후 지분) 50대 50 구조에서 더 이상 매각 없을 것이라고 확답할 수 있냐?'는 이해민 조국혁신당 의원의 질의에 "단기적으로는 그렇다"고 답했다.

이어 '장기적으로는 어떻게 되냐?'는 질문에 "어떤 기업도 중장기적인 전략 결정에 확답을 드리기는 좀 어려울 것 같다"고 답했다.

'자본관계 이슈가 삭제되면 더 좋냐?'는 질문에 최 대표는 "기시다 총리와 윤석열 정부에서 해당 부분은 필수불가결한 부분이 아니란 점을 명확히 해줘서 (삭제 여부와 관계없이) 동일하다고 생각한다"고 말했다.

라인야후는 전날(1일) 일본 총무성에 제출한 2차 보고서를 통해 단기적으로 지분 이동은 곤란하다는 입장을 밝혔다.이에 총무성은 보고서를 검토한 뒤 추가 행정지도 여부를 결정하겠다고 했다.
