[디지털데일리 최천욱기자] 금융감독원이 KB증권과 하나증권에 대해 중징계 처분을 결정해 파장이 예상된다.두 회사는 채권형 랩어카운트·특정금전신탁을 운용하면서 불법 자전거래로 고객 손익을 다른 고객에 전가한 혐의다.
27일 금융투자업계에 따르면 금감원은 이날 오후 제재심의위원회를 개최하고 KB증권과 하나증권에 대해 일부 영업정지 제재 방침을 정한 것으로 알려졌다.또 두 회사 운용 담당 임직원에는 중징계를,캐니언 아시안게임이홍구 KB증권 대표를 포함한 감독자에 대해서는 감독 소홀 등의 책임을 물어 경징계인 주의적 경고 조치가 내려졌다.
징계 수위는 증권선물위원회와 금융위원회를 거쳐서 최종 확정될 예정이다.
앞서 금감원은 검사를 통해 KB증권,하나증권을 포함한 9개 증권사가 만기도래 계좌의 목표수익률을 달성하기 위해 불법 자전거래를 했으며,이를 통해 고객 계좌 간 손익을 이전해온 사실을 적발했다.
