[서울=뉴시스]최서진 기자 = 법무부는 최근 정부합동단속을 실시해 불법체류 외국인과 불법 고용주 등 1만8000여명을 출국조치했다고 12일 밝혔다.

법무부는 지난 4월15일부터 6월30일까지 77일간 경찰청·국토교통부·고용노동부·해양경찰청 등과 단속을 실시해 불법체류 외국인 1만756명,카지노 책 추천불법 고용주 2063명,불법취업·입국 알선자 22명 등을 적발했다.

법무부에 따르면 불법체류 및 취업 외국인 중 9784명은 강제퇴거됐고,카지노 책 추천444명은 범칙금 처분됐다.8400여명은 자진출국해 총 1만8000여명이 출국 조치됐다.

특히 마약·도박 사범 23명,카지노 책 추천대포차 유통 2명 등 국민의 안전을 위협하는 외국인 범죄 관련 불법체류 외국인 25명에 대해선 형사절차가 종료되는 대로 강제퇴거 및 입국금지 조치가 시행될 예정이다.

법무부는 불법고용주 2063명에 대해서도 범칙금 약 100억원을 부과했다.불법취업·입국 알선자 등 22명을 적발해 3명 구속,7명 불구속,카지노 책 추천2명은 범칙금 처분하고 나머지는 수사 중이다.

법무부는 올해 상반기 역대 가장 많은 2만3724명을 적발하고,카지노 책 추천2만523명이 자진출국했다며 "불법체류 외국인 숫자는 지난해 10월 최고점인 43만명을 기록한 이후 지속적으로 감소하는 추세"라고 설명했다.

박성재 법무부 장관은 "앞으로도 불법체류 외국인뿐만 아니라 국민의 안전을 위협하고 불법체류를 조장하는 출입국사범에 대한 일관된 단속 기조로 엄정한 체류질서 확립에 최선을 다할 것"이라고 밝혔다．
