비 오는 틈에 폐유 뿌려진 농수로

(나주=연합뉴스) 박철홍 기자 = 장맛비가 내리는 틈을 노리고 누군가 농수로에 다량의 폐유를 고의로 버려 농가 피해 확산이 우려된다.

30일 전남 나주시에 따르면 이날 오전 10시 40분께 나주시 다시면 복암리 일대 농수로에 폐유가 버려져 있다는 주민의 신고가 접수됐다.

시 환경과 직원이 경찰과 함께 현장을 확인한 결과 전체 길이 200ｍ,행복나눔로또넓이 30㎝ 농수로 일부 구간에 폐유가 뿌려진 상태였다.

폐유는 농수로를 따라 흐르는 빗물에 실려 주변 배수장까지 길게 확산했고,행복나눔로또농수로 주변 논밭의 피해 확산이 우려되는 상황이다.

나주시는 농어촌공사,행복나눔로또소방,행복나눔로또경찰 등과 함께 부직 흡착포로 농수로를 덮어 추가 확산 방지를 위한 임시 조치를 했고,행복나눔로또현재는 주변 초지에 뿌려진 폐유를 닦아 내고 있다.

나주시 환경관리과 담당자는 "누군가 비 오는 틈에 고의로 폐유를 뿌리듯 버리고 간 것 같다"며 "농수로를 따라 논밭에 기름이 퍼지는 피해가 확대될 우려가 있어 경찰에 범인 검거를 위한 수사를 의뢰할 방침이다"고 밝혔다.

전날부터 호우 특보가 발효된 나주시에는 최대 122.5㎜의 비가 쏟아졌다.
