26일 증권가 및 업계에서는 삼성전자 파운드리 웨이퍼 제조 공장에서 3나노(㎚·10억 분의 1m) 2세대 공정 중 2500랏(lot) 규모의 결함이 발생해 1조원 손실이 발생했고,인생네컷누드이 웨이퍼들을 모두 폐기해야 한다는 소문이 돌았다.

2500랏은 12인치 웨이퍼 기준 월 6만5000장가량의 생산 규모다.

이에 대해 삼성전자 측은 “사실무근”이라고 했다.업계에서는 삼성 파운드리의 3나노 월 생산 규모 및 다양한 검사 과정을 고려하면 수치가 과장된 측면이 있다고 진단한다.

삼성전자 시스템LSI 사업부는 회사 파운드리의 3나노 2세대 공정을 활용해 차세대 애플리케이션 프로세서(AP)인‘엑시노스 2500’을 생산할 계획으로 알려졌다.

한편 삼성전자의 파운드리 결함 부인에도 이날 주가는 9시 48분 기준 전 거래일 대비 0.12% 하락한 8만700원에 거래중이다.
