(서울=연합뉴스) 최현석 기자 = 영상이해 초거대 AI 개발 기업 트웰브랩스는 약 5천만 달러 규모(약 700억 원)의 시리즈A 투자(초기 투자)를 유치했다고 5일 밝혔다.

시리즈A 라운드에는 뉴엔터프라이즈어소시에이트(NEA)와 엔비디아의 자회사 엔벤쳐스가 리드 투자자로 나섰다.또한 인덱스벤쳐스,카지노 뉴스래디컬벤쳐스,카지노 뉴스원더코벤처스 등 다수의 글로벌 유력 투자사가 참여하였으며,카지노 뉴스국내에서는 한국투자파트너스가 참여했다.

트웰브랩스의 누적 투자 유치 금액은 약 7천700만 달러(약 1천60억 원)에 달한다.

트웰브랩스는 이번 투자를 바탕으로 3월 출시한 초거대 AI 영상 언어 생성 모델 '페가수스(Pegasus-1)' 및 멀티모달 영상이해 모델 '마렝고(Marengo 2.6)'모델의 업데이트 버전을 매달 출시할 예정이다.전직군 대상 공격적인 채용에도 나선다.

멀티모달 신경망 학습 능력 향상을 목표로 엔비디아와 협력해 기존 언어모델에 특화한 텐서RT-LLM의 성능 개선 작업을 진행 중인 만큼 멀티모달 영상이해 분야를 선점할 계획이라고 회사가 전했다.

엔벤쳐스 대표인 모하메드 시딕 엔비디아 부사장은 "트웰브랩스의 뛰어난 영상이해 기술과 엔비디아의 가속 컴퓨팅을 바탕으로 엔터프라이즈 고객들을 만족시킬 수 있는 다양한 연구 협업을 지속해나가겠다"고 말했다.

트웰브랩스 이재성 대표는 "이번 투자로 영상이해 모델 개발 및 고도화에 속도를 내고 스포츠,카지노 뉴스미디어,카지노 뉴스광고,카지노 뉴스보안 등 산업 전반에 트웰브랩스의 API(응용프로그램 인터페이스)가 활용될 수 있도록 엔터프라이즈 사업 확장에 속도를 내겠다"고 강조했다.
