9일 평택경찰서에 따르면 8일 오후 7시 41분쯤 평택시 포승읍의 한 도로를 주행 중이던 전기차가 경계석을 들이 받았다.

사고 충격으로 이 차량에 불이 났으며,신고를 받고 출동한 소방당국은 화재진압 과정에서 40대로 추정되는 시신 1구를 발견했다.

불은 오후 11시 34분쯤 꺼졌다.

경찰은 이 시신을 국립과학수사연구원으로 보내 부검을 의뢰할 예정이다.
