오늘(11일) 새벽 4시쯤 충남 아산시 탕정면 매곡리 왕복 6차선 도로에서 승용차가 중앙분리대와 충돌 후 중앙분리대 파편이 반대편 도로를 달리던 택시를 덮쳐 60대 택시기사가 숨졌습니다.
아산소방서에 따르면 "승용차가 가드레일을 박는 교통사고가 발생했다"는 신고를 받고 현장에 출동했습니다.
소방당국은 현장에서 승용차에 타 있던 경상자 3명과 심정지 상태의 쏘나타 택시 기사 60대 A 씨를 발견하고 병원으로 이송했습니다.
택시 기사 A 씨는 끝내 숨진 것으로 확인됐습니다.
사고 후 불이 나 17분 만에 꺼졌으나 해당 차량이 모두 타 소방서 추산 2100여 만원의 재산 피해가 발생했습니다.
소방관계자는 "K5가 중앙 가드레일을 받은 후 그 구조물이 반대편 도로를 주행 중이던 쏘나타 택시에 맞았다"며 "사고 후 K5에 불이 났으나 탑승자 3명이 모두 자력으로 대피했다"고 밝혔습니다.
경찰은 정확한 사고 원인을 조사 중입니다.
