어제 저녁 광주광역시 도심 유흥가에서 흉기 난동이 일어나 1명이 숨지고 1명이 크게 다쳤습니다.

경찰은 유흥가 이권을 둘러싸고 업주들 사이에 다툼이 있었던 것으로 보고 수사를 벌이고 있습니다.

보도에 김호 기자입니다.

광주광역시의 한 유흥가.

한 남성이 주변에 있던 누군가를 향해 달려듭니다.

순식간에 흉기에 찔린 남성이 횡단보도에 나뒹굽니다.

흉기를 든 남성은 자신을 향해 걸어오는 다른 남성에게도 흉기를 휘두릅니다.

아수라장으로 변한 현장에 순찰차와 구급차가 차례로 도착합니다.

[목격자/음성변조 : "사람 한 명(은) 찔려서 누워 있고 사람들은 119 부르거나…경찰 오고 구급차 와서 다 진압하고 실어가고 그다음 과학수사대 오고."]

어제 저녁 7시 반쯤 광주광역시 광산구 유흥가에서 벌어진 일입니다.

피의자는 57살 김 모 씨로 흉기에 찔린 40대 남성 두 명은 병원으로 옮겨졌지만 한 명은 숨졌습니다.

경찰은 피의자와 피해자들 모두 유흥업소에 여성 접객원들을 공급하는 업주들로,에어 라인 포커기존에 영업을 해온 세력과 최근 영업을 시작한 세력 간 이권 다툼이 있었다고 보고 있습니다.

사건 현장 주변에는 특정 세력을 비난하는 내용의 현수막이 내걸려 있었습니다.

[상인/음성변조 : "며칠 전부터 확성기로 ○○협회 여기 뭐 해체하라고 한 사람이 와서 차에 현수막 걸고 막 데모하듯이 (시끄러웠습니다)."]

경찰은 흉기를 휘두른 김 씨를 살인과 살인미수 혐의로 체포해 범행 경위를 조사하고 있습니다.
