여성우월주의 성향이 강한 온라인 커뮤니티‘워마드’(WOMAD)에서 최근 얼차려를 받다 숨진 훈련병을 조롱하는 글이 올라와 논란이 일고 있다.이에 육군은 유감을 표하며 명예훼손 행위를 즉각 중단할 것과 비방 댓글 게재 자제를 요구하고 나섰다.

7일 현재 워마드에는‘○○○ 훈련병 사망을 축하합니다’라는 글이 게시됐다.훈련병의 영결식이 열린 지난달 30일 새벽에 올라온 글로 훈련병의 장례진행 일정표와 빈소 모습,페르민 로페즈영정 사진 등이 나와있다.

작성자는 지난 2013년 마포대교에서 투신 퍼포먼스를 펼쳤다가 사고로 숨진 고(故) 성재기 남성연대 대표를 언급하며 “둘이 저승에서 잘 얘기해 보라노”라고 훈련병을 조롱하는 내용을 썼다.

이 글에는 커뮤니티 이용자들의 댓글 8개가 달려있는데 댓글 작성자들 역시 훈련병에 대한 인신공격을 퍼붓고 있다.

이와 관련해 육군 관계자는 “고인과 유가족의 명예를 심각하게 훼손하는 것으로 매우 유감스럽게 생각한다”며 “이러한 행위는 즉각 중단되어야 하고 비방 댓글 게재 자제를 강력히 요구한다”고 경고했다.
