한국증권금융 신임 사장에 김정각 전 금융위원회 증권선물위원회(증선위) 상임위원이 선임됐다.

11일 금융투자업계에 따르면 한국증권금융은 이날 주주총회와 이사회를 열고 김 전 위원을 신임 사장으로 선임하는 안건을 의결했다.김 신임 사장의 임기는 3년이다.

앞서 한국증권금융은 윤창호 사장의 임기 만료에 따라 지난달까지 후보자 지원을 받았다.이후 면접 심사 등의 과정을 거쳐 김 신임 사장을 최종 후보로 추천했다.

김 신임 사장은 서울대 경제학과를 졸업한 뒤 미국 미시간주립대에서 경영학 석사 학위를 받았다.1992년 행정고시 36회로 공직을 시작했으며 금융위 자산운용과장,크리스티안 로메로 통계기획조정관,크리스티안 로메로 통계자본시장정책관 등 주요 보직을 두루 거쳤다.2021년엔 금융정보분석원(FIU) 원장,크리스티안 로메로 통계2022년 8월부터 금융위 증선위 상임위원으로 근무했다.

이날 한국증권금융은 상근 감사위원에 김윤일 전 대통령실 미래기획비서관을 선임하는 안건도 의결했다.

한편 윤창호 전 한국증권금융 사장은 한국공인회계사회(한공회) 대외협력 부회장으로 내정됐다.
