"경비실에도 에어컨이 새로 생겨 시원하게 일하고 있습니다."

연일 이어지는 폭염을 에어컨 없이 보낼 뻔했던 경비원들이 아파트 입주민 덕분에 시원하게 지낼 수 있게 된 사연이 알려졌습니다.

오늘(14일) 연합뉴스에 따르면 부산 동구 좌천동 동원드림타운 아파트 경비실에 최근 새 에어컨이 설치됐습니다.

이달 초 이 아파트 경비실에 있던 에어컨이 낡아 고장이 나는 일이 발생했습니다.

당시 한낮 더위가 34도를 넘을 정도로 찜통더위가 이어졌지만,로또 사장예산 문제로 새 에어컨은 내년쯤 설치될 예정이었습니다.

때마침 입주자 차 대표가 경비실에 들렀다가 "여기 왜 이렇게 덥냐"며 경비원에게 자초지종을 물었습니다.

에어컨이 고장이 났다는 사실을 알게 된 차 대표는 아파트 관리소장에게 에어컨을 빠르게 설치할 수 있도록 요청했습니다.

뿐만 아니라 대표를 비롯한 주민들이 도와준 덕에 또 다른 경비실 에어컨도 새 제품으로 교체됐습니다.또한 에어컨이 없던 미화원 휴게실에도 기기가 설치됐습니다.

입주자 대표는 "경비원과 미화원 모두 다 같은 아파트 식구들"이라며 "이렇게 더운 날 사람부터 살고 봐야 하지 않겠습니까.일을 하지 못할 정도로 더운 날씨라 에어컨을 설치하는 게 당연하다고 생각했다"고 말했습니다.

쾌적한 장소에서 일하게 된 경비원 김 모 씨는 "기온이 오르는 한낮에는 매우 더웠는데,로또 사장상황을 듣고 일주일도 되지 않아 새 에어컨을 설치해 준 주민께 감사하다"고 전했습니다.

한편,로또 사장위 같은 사례가 '당연한 일'이라고 생각할 수 있지만,로또 사장실제로 소규모 아파트 단지 중에는 에어컨 없는 경비실이 적지 않은 상황이라 그동안 에어컨 설치를 둘러싼 논쟁은 잇따라 이어졌습니다.

앞서 지난 6월 부산 사하구 한 아파트에서는 입주자 대표회의에서 '경비실에 에어컨을 설치하자'는 결정이 나자 이를 반대하는 입주민 A 씨가 동 대표를 주먹으로 폭행해 폭행 및 상해 혐의로 불구속 입건된 바 있습니다.
