[앵커]

최근 20년 전 발생한 밀양 성폭행 사건 가해자의 신상이 유튜브에 잇따라 공개돼 파문이 일고 있습니다.

'사적 제재' 논란 속에 영상에서 지목된 관련자들은 유튜버들을 고소했고 해당 유튜버는 뒤늦게 관련 영상을 모두 삭제했습니다.

보도에 이형관 기자입니다.

[리포트]

20년 전 고교생 44명이 여중생 1명을 1년 동안 성폭행한 이른바 '밀양 성폭행 사건'.

가해자들은 피해자와 합의했거나 청소년이라는 이유 등으로 한 명도 형사 처벌을 받지 않았습니다.

지난 1일,cd 고도이크루스한 유튜버가 처벌이 제대로 이뤄지지 못했다며 가해자들의 신상 공개를 시작했습니다.

관심이 집중되자 다른 유튜버까지 가세했고,cd 고도이크루스지금까지 5명의 신상이 공개됐습니다.

[해당 유튜버/지난 4일 : "또한,내 채널에서 나머지 42명에 대해서는 전부 다룰 예정인데…."]

이 과정에서 가해자 여자친구로 지목된 한 여성이 경찰에 진정서를 제출했습니다.

가해자와 무관한데도 영업장이 공개돼 악성 댓글에 시달리는 등 피해를 봤기 때문입니다.

엉뚱한 사람의 신상을 공개한 겁니다.

가해자로 지목된 이들도 명예가 훼손됐다는 취지로 진정서와 고소장을 접수했습니다.

현재 확인된 것만 15건입니다.

[경찰 관계자/음성변조 : "(유튜브) 운영자들을 알기 위한 수사가 진행돼야겠죠.(누구인지) 특정해야 하는 과정을 또 거쳐야 합니다."]

논란이 커지자 해당 유튜버는 "피해자들과 긴밀한 이야기를 나눴다"며 관련 영상을 모두 삭제했습니다.

하지만 피해자 지원단체인 한국성폭력상담소는 해당 유튜버가 처음부터 마지막까지 피해자 의사를 반영하지 않았다며,"유튜브 콘텐츠를 위해 피해자가 희생된 것"이라고 입장을 밝혔습니다.

앞서 해당 유튜버는 피해자 동의를 받았다며 가해자 신상 공개를 시작했지만,cd 고도이크루스"사실이 아니다"는 피해자 측 입장이 나온 뒤에도 가해자 폭로를 이어왔습니다.
