수십 명의 미 하원 의원들이 바이든 대통령의 후보직 사퇴를 요구하는 서한에 서명을 고려하고 있다고 블룸버그 통신이 보도했습니다.

사퇴 요구 연판장 회람은 민주당 강세 지역에서 재선에 도전하는 민주당 의원들이 주도하고 있는 것으로 전해졌습니다.

지금까지 2명의 민주당 하원 의원이 바이든 대통령 사퇴를 공개적으로 요구한 가운데 미국 언론들은 미 의회의 휴회 기간이 끝난 뒤인 오는 9일을 주목하고 있습니다.

미국 주류 언론들은 연일 바이든 대통령의 후보직 사퇴를 압박하고 있습니다.

뉴욕타임스에 이어 보스턴글로브도 사설을 통해 사퇴를 촉구했습니다.

뉴욕타임스는 특히,바이든 대통령이 며칠 안에 여론 동향에 따라 후보직 포기 가능성을 측근에게 거론했다고 보도했는데,축구 토토 중계백악관은 오보라고 일축하며 출마 의지를 재확인했습니다.

주지사들과의 회동에서 바이든 대통령은 TV토론 직후 건강 검진을 받았고 이상이 없는 것으로 확인됐다고 말한 것으로 전해졌습니다.
