김제시가 120억 원의 예산을 들여 대율저수지 인근에 오토캠핑장을 조성했는데요.

어찌된 일인지 1년이 지나도록 텅 빈 채 방치돼 있다고 합니다.

진유민 기자가 현장 취재했습니다.

김제 대율저수지와 맞닿은 캠핑장 부지.

4만 3천 제곱미터 규모로 차량 50대가 동시에 들어갈 수 있는 대형 자동차 야영장입니다.

김제시가 지난해 6월 공사를 끝냈는데,남돌 취향 월드컵어찌 된 일인지 캠핑장 내부는 텅 비었고,남돌 취향 월드컵사용 흔적도 찾아볼 수 없습니다.

120억여 원의 예산을 들여 대규모 캠핑장을 조성했지만 1년째 운영되지 않고 있습니다.

김제시가 준공이 끝나고서야 뒤늦게 민간 위탁을 결정했는데,남돌 취향 월드컵한해 1억 5천만 원에 달하는 위탁 수수료가 비싸다며 캠핑장을 맡겠다는 민간 업체가 없었기 때문입니다.

다섯 차례 모집 공고에도 운영자가 나타나지 않으면서 방치된 캠핑장엔 벌써 시설 일부가 파손되기까지 했습니다.

[전성진/인근 카페 운영 : "(카페와) 같이 공사를 시작했거든요.그런데 원래 오픈(개장)을 일찍 하기로 했는데 안 돼서 아쉬운 부분이 있고,남돌 취향 월드컵저희는 정해진 줄 알았어요 사람이(운영자가)…."]

급기야 20% 가까이 위탁료를 감액한 김제시.

조만간 또다시 여섯 번째 운영자 모집에 나설 계획인데,남돌 취향 월드컵상황이 여의치 않을 경우 직접 운영하는 방안도 검토 중입니다.

[김제시 관계자/음성변조 : "저희가 일단 민간 위탁 운영을 위해서 수수료를 낮추는 방안을 좀 마련하고요.최후적으로 안 되면 직영할 것도 지금 검토하고 있습니다."]

막대한 예산을 들이면서도 적절한 활용방안에 대한 고민 없이 성급하게 사업에 나선 것 아니냐는 지적이 나오고 있습니다.
