현직 경찰관이 운전 중 도로 시설물을 들이받고 음주 측정을 거부해 불구속 입건됐다.

3일 경찰에 따르면 인천 서부경찰서는 도로교통법상 음주 측정 거부 혐의로 인천 모 경찰서 소속 50대 A 경위를 붙잡아 조사하고 있다.

A 경위는 지난달 29일 오후 8시 56분경 인천 서구 청라동의 한 사거리에 설치된 도로와 인도 사이 경계석을 차량으로 들이받는 사고를 낸 뒤 경찰의 음주 측정을 거부한 혐의를 받는다.

당초 A 경위와 알고 지내던 사이의 40대 B씨가 "내가 운전했다"고 경찰에 진술했으나,rb 라이프치히이내 B씨는 "사실 A 경위가 운전했다"고 진술을 번복했다.

B씨는 사고 당시 A 경위 차량에 동승하지 않았던 것으로 확인됐다.

이에 경찰은 B씨 진술을 토대로 A 경위에 대한 음주 측정을 시도했으나,rb 라이프치히A 경위가 이를 거부해 불구속 입건됐다.

A 경위가 소속된 경찰서는 그를 직위 해제 조치하고,rb 라이프치히정확한 사건 경위를 조사하고 있다.

경찰 관계자는 "B씨가 왜 진술을 번복했는지 파악 중"이라며 "운전자 바꿔치기가 의심돼 B씨에 대한 혐의도 조사할 계획"이라고 말했다.
