(안양=연합뉴스) 김인유 기자 = 경기도시장군수협의회는 25일 안양아트센터 컨벤션홀에서 제6차 정기회의를 열어 최대호 안양시장이 제안한 경범죄 처벌법 개정 제안 등 38건의 안건을 심의 의결했다.

이날 회의에서 최 시장은 악성민원 근절을 위해 '음주하지 않은 상태'에서 관공서에서 거친 말과 행동으로 난동을 일으킨 사람을 처벌할 수 있도록 경범죄 처벌법을 개정해 공무원의 근무 환경을 개선해야 한다고 제안했다.

현행 경범죄 처벌법(제3조 제3항 제1호)은 처벌 대상을 '술에 취한 채로 관공서에서 몹시 거친 말과 행동으로 주정하거나 시끄럽게 한 사람'으로 규정하고 있어 비음주 상태 민원인의 욕설과 난동을 위법행위로 적용하기에 한계가 있었다.

이날 회의에는 협의회 소속 단체장과 부단체장 26명이 참석한 가운데 공공하수처리시설 재건설사업 국비 지원 건의 등 각 지자체에서 제안한 38건의 안건을 심의해 의결하고,안토니우 실바민선 8기 후반기 임원단을 구성했다.

참석자들은 회의에 앞서 전날 화성시 일차전지 제조업체 공장에서 난 화재로 숨진 희생자들을 묵념했다.

이날 심의된 안건은 대한민국시장군수구청장협의회 안건에 상정된 뒤 통과되면 경찰청을 비롯해 관련 중앙부처에 전달될 예정이다.
