보건복지부가 오는 18일 집단 휴진을 하루 앞두고 대한의사협회(의협)를 공정거래위원회에 17일 신고했다.

의협이 개원의 정상 근무에 제동을 걸고 업무를 방해했다는 판단에서다.의협 등의 사업자 단체가 구성사업자에게 휴진을 강제하는 경우 공정거래법 위반에 해당한다는 것이 공정위의 입장이다.

독점규제 및 공정거래에 관한 법률(공정거래법) 제51조에 따르면 사업자단체는 부당하게 경쟁을 제한하는 행위,사업 내용 또는 활동을 부당하게 제한하는 행위 등을 할 수 없다.

의협은 오는 18일에 집단휴진을 암시하는 총궐기대회를 열 예정이다.

한편 서울대병원 교수들은 17일부터 중증·응급 등의 진료를 제외한 일반 진료와 수술을 무기한 중단하기로 했다.18일부터는 개원의까지 참여하는 의협 집단 휴진이 예고됐다.
