전남지역 기초지자체 부단체장을 지낸 전남도청 퇴직 공무원이 사기 혐의로 고소당했다.

지역 커피사업체 대표 A씨는 최근 광주경찰청에 전 공무원 B씨(서기관 퇴직)를 고소했다고 19일 밝혔다.

고소장에 따르면 지난 2016년 지인의 소개로 A씨 업체의 회장을 알게 된 B씨는 자신이 고위공무원으로서 지역사회에 미치는 영향력이 크다는 점을 강조하며 회사의 입찰 등에 도움을 줄 것처럼 속여 2017년 10월부터 지난해 6월까지 2689만원 상당의 커피 등을 대가를 지급하지 않고 가져갔다고 A씨는 주장했다.

A씨는 광주에 비교적 큰 규모의 커피전문점을 운영해 왔으며 자치단체를 상대로 하는 SNS 대행업체와 공무원 교육업체 등도 거닐고 있다.

B씨는 대관 업무를 맡겠다며 지난 2023년 3월 공무원 교육업체의 대표이사로 취임했으나 3개월만인 지난해 6월 해임됐다.

특히 B씨는 공직자 신분인 2017년부터 수백 차례에 걸쳐 A씨가 운영하는 커피 전문점에서 무료로 커피를 마시거나 커피선물세트를 가져가 수천만원의 손해를 끼쳤다.

또한 2022년 7월부터 2023년 6월까지 A씨 회사의 법인카드를 제공받아 1300여 만원을 사용했다.

이 가운데 공직 재임기간 중(2022년 7~9월)에 사용한 법인카드 사용액 중 일부인 302만700원은 뒤늦게 반환했다.

이에 대해 퇴직 공무원 B씨는 "기업 컨설팅 자문을 해주면서 지인들에게 커피를 선물해주기 위해 가져갔거나 회사로부터 무료로 받았다.정확한 금액은 확인해 봐야 하나 많지 않은 것으로 기억한다"며 "법인카드도 잠깐 사용했으나 문제가 될 것 같아 금액을 돌려줬다"고 해명했다.

이어 "공직 퇴임 이후 A씨 회사의 자회사에 대표로 취임했으나 몇 개월만에 부당해고를 당해 노동청에 제소했다"면서 "이런 연유로 인한 앙갚음으로 고소한 것 같다.내용을 살펴본 후 적절히 대응하겠다"고 밝혔다.
