농식품부,프리미어리그 개집'제1차 기후위기 대응역량 강화 포럼' 개최

[세종=뉴시스]임소현 기자 = 기후변화가 가속화되며 농업분야 피해가 현실화되는 가운데 기후와 농업분야 전문가가 함께 대응 방안 마련에 나선다.

농림축산식품부는 오는 16일 베스트웨스턴플러스호텔세종에서 '기후위기 대응을 위한 지속 가능한 농업'을 주제로 '제1차 농업분야 기후위기 대응역량 강화 포럼'을 개최한다고 15일 밝혔다.

농식품부는 극단적 이상기상에 따른 농업분야 피해가 현실화되는 상황에 능동적으로 대응하기 위해 포럼을 구성했다.

이번 첫 번째 포럼에서 정부(농식품부·농업진흥청·환경부·기상청)와 학계(한국환경연구원·과학기술정책연구원·농림식품기술기획평가원·관련학회등)의 기상·농업 전문가들이 민·관 협력 체계를 구축해 농업분야 기후위기 적응대책을 논의한다.

주요 발표 안건은 기후변화 관련 최근 동향과 기후변화가 농업에 미치는 영향(김광수 국가농림기상센터장),프리미어리그 개집농업·농촌 기후변화 영향 정보의 체계적 대국민 제공 방안(유승환 전남대학교 교수),프리미어리그 개집'농업분야 기후위기 대응역량 강화 협의체' 구성·운영 방안(배승종 서울대학교 교수)이다.

이후 남재철 전 기상청장과 각 분야 전문가들이 관련 내용에 대한 토론을 진행할 예정이다.

강형석 농식품부 기획조정실장은 "농업은 대표적인 기후민감산업이므로 현실화된 기후위기 문제의 보다 적극적인 대응이 필요하며 효과적인 기후변화 대응정책을 추진하기 위해 관계부처,프리미어리그 개집전문가,프리미어리그 개집농업현장과 지속적인 소통과 대책에 대한 논의를 이어가겠다"고 말했다.
