SK텔레콤이 양자 분야 기술·부품 기업들과 함께 설립한 연합체 '퀀텀 얼라이언스'의 명칭을 'X Quantum'(엑스퀀텀)으로 확정하고,첫 상용 제품으로 양자암호칩을 출시한다고 19일 밝혔다.

SK텔레콤은 지난 3월 에스오에스랩,프로야구 잔여일정엑스게이트,우리로,프로야구 잔여일정케이씨에스,노키아,프로야구 잔여일정IDQ코리아 등 양자 분야 기업들과 공동 사업 기회 발굴 및 마케팅을 위한 연합체를 결성한 바 있다.

정식 명칭을 확정함과 동시에 엑스퀀텀은 첫 번째 상용 제품인 차세대 양자암호칩 'Q-HSM'을 공개했다.Q-HSM은 SK텔레콤과 하드웨어 기반 암호모듈 업체 케이씨에스가 협업해 개발한 제품으로,지난해 모바일 월드 콩그레스(MWC)에서 양사가 전시한 양자암호칩에 양자 내성 암호(PQC) 기술이 추가됐다.

강력한 암호를 만드는 데 사용되는 하드웨어 기반 양자난수생성기(QRNG)와 물리적 복제방지(PUF) 기술,소프트웨어 기반 PQC 암호통신 기술이 동시에 적용됐다.향후 드론이나 CCTV 등에 탑재할 수 있을 예정이다.

SK텔레콤은 향후 PQC 기술과 양자키분배(QKD) 기술을 통합한 하이브리드 형태 제품도 선보일 예정이라고 밝혔다.엑스퀀텀은 앞으로도 함께 상품을 개발하고 사업 기회를 모색할 방침이다.또 '퀀텀 코리아 2024' 등 국내외 전시회 참가,공공사업이나 국책 과제 공동 수주,기업간거래(B2B) 프로젝트 공동 참여 등에 나설 계획이다.
