총선 과정에서 재산을 축소 신고한 의혹을 받는 더불어민주당 양문석(경기 안산갑) 의원이 오늘(24일) 경찰에 출석했습니다.

경기남부경찰청 반부패·경제범죄수사대는 이날 오후 1시 45분쯤부터 공직선거법상 허위사실 공표 혐의를 받는 양 의원을 불러 피의자 조사를 진행 중입니다.

양 의원은 경찰 조사 소감을 묻는 취재진의 질문에 "성실히 소명하겠다"고 짧게 답한 뒤 청사로 들어갔습니다.

양 의원은 배우자와 공동명의로 보유한 서울 서초구 잠원동 아파트를 2020년 당시 매입가격(31억 2천만 원)보다 9억 6천400만 원 낮은 공시가격(21억 5천600만 원)으로 선관위에 재산 신고한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

공직자윤리법 시행령은 공직선거 후보자가 소유 부동산을 신고할 때 공시 가격과 실거래 가격 중 높은 금액을 기재하도록 규정하고 있습니다.

앞서 경기 안산시 상록구 선관위는 총선을 앞둔 지난 4월 5일 양 당시 후보를 공직선거법상 허위사실 공표 혐의로 경찰에 고발했습니다.

경기남부청은 양 의원이 지난 3월 당내 경선을 치를 당시 여론조사 과정에서 결과에 영향을 주기 위해 위법한 행위를 한 혐의로 양 의원의 선거사무장 A 씨에 대해서도 압수수색을 진행하는 등 수사를 진행 중입니다.

양 의원의 편법 대출 의혹은 수원지검 안산지청이 지난달 14일 양 의원의 주거지 등을 압수수색하는 등 수사를 벌이고 있습니다.
