[서울=뉴시스]안경무 기자 = 현대차그룹이 영국 옥스포드 대학과 그룹 비전 수립을 위한 전문 연구센터를 설립한다.

현대차그룹은 지난 8일(현지시간) 옥스포드 대학과 영국 옥스포드 컨보케이션 하우스(Convocation House)에서‘옥스포드-현대차그룹 미래연구센터(Oxford-Hyundai Motor Group Foresight Centre,이하 미래연구센터)’개소식을 열었다고 9일 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 HMG경영연구원장 김견 부사장,GSO(Global Strategy Office)본부장 김흥수 부사장,슬롯 머신 노하우옥스포드 대학 경영대 수미트라 두타 학장,조나단 레이놀즈 부학장,라파엘 라미레즈 교수,슬롯 머신 노하우트루디 랭 교수 등이 참석했다.

옥스포드 대학은 자체 보유한 '미래 시나리오 플래닝 기법(Oxford Scenario Planning Approach,OSPA)'을 통해 산업을 바라보는 관점을 전환하고,기업 미래 방향을 설계하는 강점이 있다.

현대차그룹은 미래연구센터를 통해 지정학적 변화와 위험 요인에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 핵심 의제를 발굴한다.

동시에 인류의 진보를 위한 혁신적이고 독창적인 연구로 바람직한 미래를 실현(Future Shaping)할 경쟁력도 확보한다.

미래연구센터장에는 ▲미래 시나리오 플래닝 연구 분야의 세계적 권위자인 라파엘 라미레즈 교수와 ▲세계경제포럼 전략 예측(Strategic Foresight) 프로그램과 OECD 사무총장실 미래전략 고문을 거친 트루디 랭 교수가 위촉됐다.

HMG경영연구원장 김견 부사장은 "미래연구센터가 조직 내에 미래를 다각적으로 바라보고 재구성하는 능력(Future Literacy)을 배양하는데 크게 기여할 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.

수미트라 두타 학장은 "옥스포드 대학이 보유한 세계 최고 수준의 가치 기반 연구 역량으로 현대차그룹과 함께 미래를 설계하겠다"고 말했다．
