11일 오전 9시18분쯤 경북 영천시 화남면 죽곡리에 있는 유곡저수지 제방 일부가 집중 호우로 인해 무너지는 사고가 났다.

유곡저수지는 가로 40m,fa cup fixtures높이 5m,fa cup fixtures저수량 3천300㎥ 규모로 1945년 완공 이후 80년이 지난 노후 저수지다.

지난 8일부터 영천지역에 누적 강수량 250mm 이상의 많은 비가 내리면서 저수지 중간부분에 가로 4m,fa cup fixtures세로 5m 크기의 제방이 유실됐다.

이로 인해 저수지에 고여있던 수량 대부분이 흘러내려 주변 논밭 19ha가 물에 잠기는 등의 피해가 났다.

다행히 인명 피해는 없다.영천시 재난당국은 긴급 복구와 함께 피해 규모를 조사하고 있다.

한편,한국수자원공사는 이날 오후 2시부터 초당 150톤(t) 규모의 영천댐 수문 방류를 실시함에 따라 금호강 및 자호천 주변 출입 금지 및 차량 진입 자제 등을 당부했다.

이날 오후 1시 기준 영천댐 저수량은 8천717㎥로 저수율 84.5%를 기록하고 있다.
