온오프라인을 넘나들며 관객과 소통,누구나 즐길 수 있는 축제 선보여경북 구미시에서 지난 16일까지 이틀간 금오산 잔디광장 등 시 일원에서 개최된 국내 최초 '2024 경상북도 국제 AI·메타버스 영화제'가 성황리에 막을 내렸다

지난 15일 개막식에는 경북도 이철우 도지사와 김장호 구미시장,u-18 야구 월드컵국내 유명 영화감독,배우,영화계 인사와 함께 키르기스스탄 문화정보체육청소년정책부 차관,u-18 야구 월드컵미국 뉴포트비치 영화제 조직위원장,u-18 야구 월드컵미국,키르기스스탄,태국 등 해외 영화계 인사와 영화제 공모전 수상감독,관객 등 2000여 명이 참석했다.

이번 영화제에서는 AI,u-18 야구 월드컵메타버스와 영화의 만남으로 기술과 문화예술이 융합된 새로운 장르의 영화를 선보이며 영화에 대한 새로운 패러다임을 제시했다는 평가를 받았다.

영화제 기간 동안 시민들은 무료로 영화 상영회를 즐길 수 있었으며,u-18 야구 월드컵새로운 형태의 영상미와 몰입감을 경험했다.출품작과 교류 영화제 초청작,u-18 야구 월드컵특별 상영작 등 총 48편을 구미 시내 멀티플랙스 영화관과 구미영상미디어센터에서 무료로 관람할 수 있었다.

특히,시내 멀티플랙스 상영관에서 진행된 영화감독,영화평론가가 관객들과 소통하는 GV(Guest Visit) 행사는 영화관을 찾은 시민들에게 큰 호응을 얻었다.

김장호 구미시장은 “이번 영화제가 AI와 메타버스 기술이 접목된 혁신적인 영화들을 선보이며 관람객들에게 문화예술의 발전과 첨단기술의 융합을 느끼는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “구미에서 첫 단추를 끼운 '2024 경상북도 국제 AI·메타버스 영화제'가 지속적으로 발전해나가 글로벌 영화제로 자리매김 하기를 기원한다”고 말했다.
