[제주=뉴시스] 양영전 기자 = 제주도 양 행정시장 후보자의 인사청문을 마친 제주도의회는 김완근 제주시장 후보자와 오순문 서귀포시장 후보자 모두에게 '적합' 판정을 내렸다.

제주도의회 행정시장 인사청문특별위원회는 28일 이 같은 내용을 담은 김 후보자와 오 후보자에 대한 인사청문경과보고서를 채택했다.

먼저 김 후보자에 대해 "1차산업 분야에 경험과 연륜을 갖추고 있으며 제주지역 현안에 대한 높은 관심과 이해를 바탕으로 도민과 유관기관,2019년 9월 26일 야구 경기일정이해관계자 등과 적극적으로 소통하고 제주시의 수장으로서 역할을 원활히 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대돼 후보자를 제주시장으로 임명하는 것이 적합하다고 판단했다"고 평가했다.

오 후보자에 대해선 "도덕성 및 전문성에서 일부 우려가 있으나 시장으로서 직무를 수행하는 데 별다른 문제는 없는 것으로 판단된다"면서도 "임명된다면 청문회 과정에서 논란이 된 사항에 대해 도민이 납득할 수 있는 조치를 신속히 취할 것"을 권고했다.

채택된 인사청문 경과보고서는 3일 이내에 도의회 의장에게 전달되고,2019년 9월 26일 야구 경기일정이후 제주지사에게 송부된다.두 후보자 모두 도의회에서도 합격점을 받은 만큼 무난히 임명될 것으로 보인다.
