[서울=뉴시스] 홍찬선 기자 = 인천국제공항공사(사장 이학재)는 지난 25일 중국 상하이에서 열린 2024년 아시아 항공·물류 어워즈(AFLAS)에서 아시아 최고 물류공항상을 수상했다고 26일 밝혔다.

이번 어워즈에서는 ▲화물운송 적합도 ▲운영 우수성 ▲가격경쟁력 등을 기준으로 이용자 만족도 조사를 진행해 수상 공항을 엄선했다.

올해 시상식에서 싱가포르 창이공항,냉전 월드컵중국 상해 푸동공항,냉전 월드컵홍콩 첵랍콕공항 등 역내 유수 화물공항들을 제치고 인천공항이 물류 공항의 표준으로 인정받으며 아시아 최고공항으로 선정됐다.

대한항공,아시아나항공,냉전 월드컵미국 아틀라스에어 등이 인천공항을 허브로 운용 중이며,DHL,페덱스,냉전 월드컵UPS등 글로벌 특송사들도 인천공항을 아시아 주요 거점으로 삼고 있다.

이학재 인천공항공사 사장은 "전세계에서 아시아 지역의 항공화물시장 내 경쟁이 가장 치열한 것을 감안할 때 인천공항의 수상이 뜻깊다"며 "앞으로도 인천공항의 국제화물 거점으로서의 경쟁력 향상을 위해 적극 노력할 것이다”라고 말했다.
