[헤럴드경제=강승연 기자] KB국민은행(은행장 이재근)이 행정안전부의‘모바일 신분증 민간개방 참여기업’으로 최종 선정됐다고 7일 밝혔다.

앞서 행안부는 모바일 신분증 민간개방을 결정하고 4월 29일부터 5월 24일까지 참여기업 선정을 위한 공모를 진행했다.KB국민은행은 ▷이용 편의성 ▷안전성 ▷활성화 계획 등 각 평가지표에서 높은 점수를 받으며 참여기업으로 선정됐다.

KB국민은행은 완성도 높은 서비스 오픈을 목표로 연내 시스템 개발을 완료하고,카지노 무료 게임 버팔로KB스타뱅킹 앱에서 제공하는‘국민지갑’을 통해 모바일 신분증 서비스를 시행할 계획이다.

모바일 신분증은 실물 형태의 신분증과 동일한 효력을 가지고 있어 KB스타뱅킹 내 신분증 정보를 등록한 고객은 은행 금융거래를 비롯한 관공서·의료기관 이용 및 선거 참여 등에서 별도 신분증 없이 KB스타뱅킹을 통해 간편하게 신원 확인을 받을 수 있다.

KB국민은행 관계자는 “KB금융그룹의 허브 플랫폼인 KB스타뱅킹이 이번 모바일 신분증 민간개방 참여기업으로 선정되어 매우 기쁘다”며 “행안부와 적극 협업해 더욱 많은 국민이 모바일 신분증을 안전하고 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
