25일 미술품 경매업체 서울옥션 경매에서 서울 서초구 반포동에 건축될 예정인 주거시설 '더 팰리스 73'의 분양권이 219억원에 낙찰됐다.최초 경매시작가는 160억 원이었다.

응찰자들은 치열한 경합을 벌였다.11차례에 걸쳐 5억 원씩 경매 금액이 올라가면서 215억 원까지 치솟았고,월드컵 마켓마지막 219억원을 써낸 서면 응찰자에게 분양권이 낙찰됐다.

낙찰된 분양권은 '더 팰리스 73'의 오피스텔 1개 호실(전용면적 261.30㎡·약 79평)이다.원래 분양가는 210억원이다.이 건물은 건축계의 노벨상이라 불리는 프리츠커상을 받았고,월드컵 마켓성추문으로 불명예 은퇴한 미국 건축가 리처드 마이어가 설계에 참여한 국내 최초 주거 시설이다.낙찰자에 한해 마이어가 설립한 건축사 '마이어 파트너스'가 내부 인테리어를 진행하고,월드컵 마켓서울옥션이 미술품 컨설팅을 제공한다.서울옥션은 이 경매 건에 대해 낙찰가의 18%에 해당하는 낙찰 수수료를 받지 않기로 했다.

'물방울 작가' 김창열의 1973년 그림 '물방울 ABS Nº 2'는 9억8,월드컵 마켓000만 원에 낙찰됐다.국내외 경매에서 인기를 끄는 작가 구사마 야요이의 작품이 4점 출품됐으나 모두 유찰됐다.
