농림축산식품부와 행정안전부,문화체육관광부,국토교통부,한국철도공사,한국관광공사,한국농어촌공사,인구감소지역인 태백·정선·단양 등 23개 지자체는 16일 '인구감소지역 철도 및 관광 활성화를 위한 업무협약'을 체결했다.

이들은 인구감소지역과의 연계 등을 통해 관광상품 공동 개발을 추진한다.

'다시 잇는 대한민국,지역사랑 철도여행'이라는 상품명으로 할인된 가격에 인구감소지역 관광 명소를 방문할 수 있는 자유여행 상품과 패키지 상품을 다음달 1일부터 판매할 예정이다.

철도 운임 할인율은 총 50%로,레오니 카셀먼저 10% 할인된 가격으로 왕복 승차권을 구매한 후 해당 관광지에 방문한 사실을 인증하면 다음 달에 철도 운임 40% 할인 쿠폰을 제공 받는다.

할인 쿠폰을 받기 위해서는 구매 시 지정된 열차를 이용해 해당 지역을 방문하고,레오니 카셀주요 관광지 곳곳에 부착돼 있는 QR 코드를 코레일 톡에서 인증하면 된다.

철도 승차권,숙박,레오니 카셀렌터카 및 입장권을 고객이 직접 선택해 구매할 수 있는 '나만의 기차여행 만들기' 기획전도 오픈한다.

행안부는 지방소멸대응기금 등을 활용해 철도여행과 연계된 다양한 정책을 개발해 나갈 계획이다.

문체부는 '디지털 관광 주민증' 이용과 철도 연계 혜택을 강화해 지역을 활성화한다.디지털 관광 주민증은 34개 인구감소지역의 관광을 활성화하기 위해 숙박,관람,체험 등 여행 할인 혜택을 제공하는 사업이다.

농식품부는 농촌 지역의 다양한 관광 자원과 대중교통 수단을 연계해 대중교통 이용 시 최대 30%의 교통비 할인을 지원하는 농촌 관광 '투어 패스' 사업을 추진한다.
