[헤럴드경제=이명수 기자] 전 골프선수 박세리(46)의 부친 박준철씨가 박세리희망재단 명의 도장을 몰래 제작,폴로 맨투맨사업에 사용한 혐의로 검찰에 송치된 것과 관련해 "아빠니까 나설수 있다고 생각했다"는 입장을 밝혔다.

19일 MBC보도에 따르면,폴로 맨투맨박씨는 지난해 한 시공사로부터 전북 새만금 국제골프학교 설립 사업에 참여 제안을 받은 뒤 사업참가의향서를 제출하는 과정에서 박세리재단 도장과 문서를 도용한 혐의를 받고 있다.

박씨는 재단 명의 도장을 도용한 것에 대해 "시공사 측이 재단 의향서가 필요하다고 해 동의만 해준 것"이라고 밝혔다.

그는 "박세리가 있어야 얘들(시공사)이 대화할 때 새만금이 (사업을) 인정 해주지 않겠냐는 생각에 (도장을 사용했다)"라고 설명했다.

도장을 몰래 제작했다는 혐의에 대해서는 "몰래 만든 게 아니다.재단 설립 전 세리인터네셔널 회장 시절 만든 도장을 사용한 것"이라고 부인했다.

다만 박세리희망재단 측은 "박씨는 현 재단에서 어떤 역할이나 직책도 맡은 바가 없다"고 강조했다.
