16일 경남도에 따르면 산업통상자원부가 지난 3월 공모한 '우주항공·방산용 실란트 소재 초격차 기술개발 및 실증사업'에 한국건설생활시험연구원·경남테크노파크·노루페인트·새론테크 등 기관·기업이 참여한 컨소시엄이 선정됐다.

실란트(sealant)는 부품 사이의 접합부,이음매 등의 틈을 메우는 액상 소재다.

창문 유리,싱크대,스핑크스 카지노화장실 등 틈새를 채울 때 사용하는 건축용 실리콘도 실란트의 한 종류다.

양산시는 고무·화학제품 제조업체가 많아 실란트 소재 기술개발에 적합한 곳이다.

컨소시엄 참여기관은 올해부터 2028년까지 5년간 국비 200억원 등 344억원을 들여 양산일반산업단지에 있는 양산산단혁신지원센터에 우주항공·방산용 실란트 소재 국산화에 필요한 기술을 개발하고 실증 인증체계를 갖춘 시설을 건립해 운영한다.

우주항공·방산용 실란트는 항공기 제조·정비 분야 핵심 기능소재다.

연료탱크 누설 방지,스핑크스 카지노조종실·객실 압력 유지,스핑크스 카지노비행 중 부품 풀림 방지,부품 접합면 기밀 유지 등에 실란트가 필요해 건축용 등 다른 산업용 실란트 소재보다 훨씬 높은 성능이 요구된다.

한국항공우주산업(KAI) 등 국내 우주항공·방산기업은 실란트를 전량 해외 수입에 의존해 실란트 소재 국산화 필요성을 줄곧 제기했다고 경남도는 설명했다.
