(인천=연합뉴스) 황정환 기자 = 지하철 공사장에서 60대 노동자가 철제 부품에 머리를 맞아 숨졌다.

25일 인천경찰청 형사기동대에 따르면 이날 오전 6시 20분께 서구 청라동 서울도시철도 7호선 청라 연장선 공사 현장에서 60대 남성 A씨가 추락한 철제 부품에 머리를 맞았다.

이 사고로 A씨가 심하게 다쳐 119구급대에 의해 병원으로 옮겨졌으나 숨졌다.

A씨는 지하 60m 공사 현장에서 콘크리트 타설 작업을 하다가 위에서 떨어진 구조물에 맞은 것으로 조사됐다.

중부지방고용노동청은 사고 사업장이 상시 근로자가 5인 이상이라는 점을 확인하고 중대재해 처벌 등에 관한 법률을 적용해 조사를 진행할 방침이다.

경찰 관계자는 "A씨가 원청인 시공사와 하청업체 중 어디 소속인지 확인할 예정"이라며 "안전 수칙 준수 여부 등을 조사할 계획"이라고 말했다.
